Wild Tartan offers an unforgettable experience with our cozy glamping pod, 'Snuggle Doon', on the banks of Loch Eck. Nestled in the stunning Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, we provide a perfect getaway for holiday breaks, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and endless walking trails. Whether you seek adventure in deer stalking, fishing, or simply relaxing by the historic Coylet Inn's fireside, we aim to create cherished memories for our guests in the heart of the highlands.

Meet your hosts

Carl

Carl was born in Leicestershire and has always had a deep love for the outdoors. He discovered his love for Scotland over 40 years ago and quickly fell in love with the Highlands and its way of life, eventually moving up with his partner Sandra in 2019.

With a lifelong passion for deer stalking, fishing, and the countryside, Carl has spent much of his career working in farming and rural estate management, giving him a strong understanding of nature and wildlife.

Over the years, he has run several outdoor enterprises, including clay shooting and rifle shooting instruction, always with the aim of helping others connect with the outdoors.

Carl is dedicated to making every guest’s outdoor pursuits enjoyable, safe, and memorable. With extensive knowledge of the Highlands and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing it, he offers an authentic Highland experience rooted in respect for nature, wildlife, and the landscape.

Sandra

When not attending to Snuggle Doon in readiness for the next guests, Sandra enjoys walking and training her dogs, bringing the same care and attention to detail to the pod as she does to her passion for animals.
